Improve Care Now is an alliance of health care providers (including physicians, researchers, nurses, quality improvement experts, statisticians, data processing experts and administrators), patients and families all dedicated to helping children and adolescents with ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s Disease.

Improve Care Now relies on charitable donations, grants and support fees provided by participating medical institutions for its funding. The alliance seeks to share all of its information, methods and techniques, intellectual property and ideas openly for the benefit of patients everywhere.

Originally known as the PIBDNet Trailblazer Improvement Collaborative, the alliance was initiated in January, 2007 by the Pediatric IBD Network for Research and Improvement (PIBDNet) at the University of Vermont and the Center for Health Care Quality at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.  PIBDNet, Inc, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, continues to oversee fundraising efforts, but Improve Care Now operates as an alliance between participating medical professionals, patients and families.
