It’s frequently difficult for your doctor to answer the phone when you call, but many of them will call you back if you ask them to, and if you let their receptionist or nurse know that it’s very important for you to hear from them.
Contact Your DoctorImprove Care Now is reaching out to all doctors and care providers that care for children and adolescents with Crohn’s Disease and Ulcerative Colitis. By supporting our outreach with a personal message to you doctor, you can help your doctor to see how his or her participation will help you (or your child). And if your doctor is already participating, perhaps you can let them know that you appreciate and support their participation. Below are a few different ways that you may choose to communicate with your doctor. Each of them offers suggestions for what to say and how to say it for maximum effectiveness. You can personalize these based on your own experiences. As you know, there are many demands on your doctor’s time, so it may be extremely helpful to try communicating with your doctor through two or even all three of these methods. When contacting your doctor, please keep in mind that he or she is already doing a lot to help you or your child to get better. Improve Care Now is successful when we all work together. After you have communicated with your doctor, we’d love to hear about it. Please use the Let Us Know link below to let us know about your experience with your doctor. |
