When speaking with your doctors, here are some suggestions for what to communicate:

  • The name and date of birth of the patient with Crohn’s or colitis for whom you are calling.
  • You’ve heard about an alliance that is helping more children with Crohn’s Disease and ulcerative colitis to feel better, and to get their disease into remission and keep it there.
  • The alliance is called “Improve Care Now”.  The alliance’s program is based in sound science, and several nationally recognized care providers are already participating and achieving strong results for their patients.
  • You would like for them to receive a brief synopsis of the alliance and to consider joining.
  • Ask their permission to email or fax them some brief information about the alliance.
  • Please ask them to visit ImproveCareNow.org to learn more.

And here are some suggestions for how to speak with your doctor.

  • Promise to keep your call very brief, and do so unless the doctor asks questions or wants to speak more.
  • Thank them for their time.
  • Please be mindful that they have difficult jobs, and be very respectful during the call.
