Theme: Together We Can: Collaborate, Coproduce, Catalyze
Educational Gap
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) affects 70,000+ children and adolescents in the US. Healthcare teams providing care to these children and adolescents need access to and training on quality improvement (QI) tools and methods. This enables them to reduce unintended variation in care and improve clinical processes and outcomes. They also need face to face contact with parents and patients to share ideas on how best to create meaningful partnerships. Improved QI, research, and community engagement skills give these interdisciplinary teams the opportunity to standardize care, improve clinical processes and patient outcomes.
Global Learner Objectives
By the end of this conference, you will be able to:
1. Collaboratively apply best practices demonstrated through ImproveCareNow quality improvement, research, clinical practice and community engagement skills.
2. Develop connections and relationships with clinicians, patients, parents, and trusted partners to work together in new ways to benefit the IBD community.
3. Examine how your work contributes to the advancement of the strategic priorities focused on outcomes, health equity, leadership & sustainability, engagement & community building, technology and research & innovation.
Eligibility Criteria
Any member of the ImproveCareNow community who plans to attend the Community Conference and can commit to meeting all deadlines for presentation material submission (see Timeline and Notifications below) is encouraged to submit a proposal.
As we seek presentations for the fall, we continue to strive for diversity in presenters and content when submitting ideas. Please consider reaching out to these committee and workgroup leaders to collaborate, strengthen the perspectives and identify presenters across our credentialed healthcare providers, patients, and parent/caregivers in each proposal.
Disclosures must be completed at the time of proposal submission for all planned presenters. If disclosures are not completed at time of proposal submission, it will be considered ineligible. Patients and parents/caregivers must email Rachel Staley to complete their disclosures.
