I'm Rachel, but go by Rach. I'm a 17-year-old rising senior in high school, and about to start a job at Panera Bread. I was diagnosed with Crohn’s in 2016 at age 13. Most people don't know that I love unicorns!! ♥
I'm really trying to overcome depression while dealing with my illness. I get stressed out, which triggers my Crohn's. This brings my mood down so I’m sad a lot . . . I can be a big mess.
I’ve been trying new hobbies to make me happy and take my mind off of my depression. I also joined some support groups. I have learned I have sensitive feelings; I get hurt easily emotionally and mentally.
I am attracted to the PAC and ICN because I want some friends my age who have the same illness; people who really understand what I'm going through and can help me cope. My goal is to eventually help other teens with IBD while coping with mental issues. Plus, I just want to become closer with the teens in PAC!
(my sister is a professional photographer, so sometimes I get to be her model)
