I loved having support from friends and family when I felt vulnerable and alone

Hey everyone, my name is Benjamin. I had symptoms for several months, but I was finally diagnosed with Crohn's when I was 11. After trying several medications and treatments, I am now on Remicade, and have been symptom free for five years. I love to play sports and hang out with my friends. One fact people may not know about me is that I was born in Switzerland.

Lifestyle and IBD - A New Web-Based Toolkit for Patients by Patients

Lifestyle and IBDÂ is a new web-based toolkit that the Patient Advisory Council (PAC) began working on in early 2020. As COVID-19 impacted the lives of many across the country and the world, discussions about how IBD impacts how patients live became especially important to members of the PAC and the greater IBD community. Seeing a need, we decided to co-produce a resource - for patients, by patients - that could help others by sharing direct patient experiences, patient-developed information, resource links, and professional information and insights.

In this post, I decided to write about another staple of my diet: rice. As someone from southern India, my diet has always included rice, but it has become especially important as I have tried diets that limit gluten.
Energy bars have been vital on my IBD journey.

Today, I am writing about another food that I think has been vital along my IBD journey: energy bars. Whether you believe these bars truly give you instant energy or not, they have been extremely helpful (and tasty) to me at many different points in time.
Eating eggs as a vegetarian with ulcerative colitis

Hi, my name is Nikhil. When I wrote my first post for LOOP back in April, I said I wanted to share more about my experiences eating certain foods as a vegetarian who lives with ulcerative colitis. I decided that the first food I wanted to talk about would be something that I really enjoy eating, so it was a no-brainer for me to choose to write about eggs.
