Join us on Wednesday, September 16 for an interactive workshop focused on building shared decision-making skills through real-world scenarios from the COMBINE Implementation pilot. Participants will engage in hands-on practice, small group activities, and guided discussion to explore how clinicians, patients, and families each contribute to meaningful decisions about combination therapy. This session is included in the cost of Fall Community Conference registration (with a $25 discount on registration!) and is designed to build shared decision-making skills and deepen collaboration in care.
Objectives:
1. Describe the core principles of shared decision-making (SDM) and the roles both clinicians, patients, and caregivers play in making healthcare decisions.
2. Practice SDM communication skills through interactive exercises using insights from pilot experiences to improve conversations about treatment options.
3. Apply SDM concepts to combination therapy conversations to support more collaborative, informed decision-making.
