Having a parent partner has incredibly enriched the care that our Pediatric Gastroenterology department provides to our patients and their families. It brings a fresh and enthusiastic perspective to our group meetings and has provided valuable feedback for our IBD informational packet that will be given to families.
We always look forward to hearing about potential innovations that have been learned from other parents at the ImproveCareNow Community Conferences. One of the greatest benefits of having a parent partner as a part of our team has been the development of support system and network for our patients and their families in our community to communicate and interact with each other. Also, leadership with the planning of fun and educational events has been tremendous for our IBD families. We look forward to continued participation of a parent partner to enhance our team even further.
