The ImproveCareNow Board of Directors has announced the creation of The Richard B. Colletti Family Fund, which will provide funds to offset the cost of sending patients and parents to ICN Community Conferences. The fund was established in honor of outgoing President and Executive Network Director, Dr. Richard B. Colletti; in recognition of his personal and professional leadership and continuous commitment to children and families living with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

Dr. Richard B. Colletti will officially step down from ImproveCareNow on July 31, 2020.

“Under Dr. Colletti’s leadership, ImproveCareNow has grown from a handful of participating care centers to more than 100 centers across the United States and around the world. His professionalism and care in building relationships, stewarding the organization’s financial resources and strategic plans for the future, as well as his active involvement in creating a network of relevant data and human capital dedicated to quality improvement and research in pediatric Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis has made an indelible impact on outcomes for children with these diseases.” - Alex Funderburg, ImproveCareNow Board of Directors

The success of ImproveCareNow has largely been driven by the active participation of many stakeholders who share knowledge and expertise and work together to improve outcomes for children with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis (also known as Inflammatory Bowel Disease or IBD). To foster this type of ongoing collaboration and sharing, ImproveCareNow hosts twice-yearly Community Conferences, which bring all stakeholders together to learn from each other, share results, and drive future progress. Patients and parents have been integral participants and contributors at these conferences and their ongoing participation is vital to the continued success of ImproveCareNow.

To date, The Richard B. Colletti Family Fund includes more than $85,000 in contributions, which will support patient and parent attendance at future Community Conferences, and help ensure ImproveCareNow continues to impact the lives of young people living with IBD through collaborative improvement, innovation and discovery!

Join us in the opportunity to celebrate Dr. Colletti and his ImproveCareNow legacy by contributing to this fund in his honor. Your tax-deductible contribution will ensure that patients with IBD and their parents continue to share seamlessly in the work of ImproveCareNow.
