The ImproveCareNow Board of Directors have announced that President & Executive Director Kristin Howe has made the decision to step down from the position of Executive Director effective June 30, 2025.
Kristin has led the network with extraordinary vision and precision for the last four and a half years, and we will miss her. She used her experience with learning health systems to strengthen the network both internally and externally. As a parent of a child with Crohn’s Disease, I am grateful of Kristin’s leadership and commitment to our mission.
- Missy Ketchum, Chair, Board of Directors, ImproveCareNow, Inc.
Kristin accepted the role of Executive Director of ImproveCareNow in 2020, during the crisis of a worldwide pandemic. She ushered the network through two strategic planning periods, a transition to a new registry platform, and built productive relationships with new funders and strategic partners. Alongside Scientific Director Peter Margolis and Clinical Director Shehzad Saeed, Kristin has provided strong and effective leadership for the network.
The Board of Directors is assembling a multi-stakeholder Leadership Search Committee to find a new Executive Director and implement a comprehensive succession plan. Until then, we will continue to have the considerable skill and leadership that have marked Kristin’s tenure at ICN with such distinction.
We will continue to communicate with the community as we work together through this transition and to create the future of ImproveCareNow.
