Educational Gap
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) affects 80,000+ children and adolescents in the United States. Healthcare teams providing care to these children and adolescents need access to and training on quality improvement (QI) tools and methods. This enables them to reduce unintended variation in care and improve clinical processes and outcomes. They also need face-to-face contact with parents and patients to share ideas on how best to create meaningful partnerships. Improved QI, research, and community engagement skills give these interdisciplinary teams the opportunity to standardize care, improve clinical processes and patient outcomes.
Objectives
- Apply best practices demonstrated through ImproveCareNow quality improvement, research, clinical practice, and community engagement skills to accelerate improvement in outcomes. Ā
- Generate connections and relationships with clinicians, patients, parents, and trusted partners to work together in new ways for the benefit of the IBD community.
- Define the latest research and emerging innovations that build upon our strategic priorities and positively impact our community.
