ImproveCareNow is very pleased to have welcomed two new care centers to the network in 2023:
- Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida
- Holtz Children's Hospital at University of Miami-Jackson Memorial Medical Center
ImproveCareNow (ICN) includes centers in 38 states, plus the District of Columbia, England, Qatar and Belgium. These centers join a Learning Health Network of more than 100 centers that work together to learn, share and continuously improve, bringing about more reliable, proactive IBD care and healthier children and youth. They actively share resources and strategies to improve care for kids with IBD. Utilizing the powerful, enhanced Outcomes Registry, ICN centers identify care gaps, undertake improvement initiatives to bridge these gaps, and then analyze outcomes. These new ICN centers will begin their improvement journey by learning the foundations of ImproveCareNow together with clinicians, researchers, quality improvement teams, and patients & families across the entire network to transform the care of patients with IBD treated at their center.
When asked what was the primary reason for joining ImproveCareNow, centers answered:
- Our Pediatric GI team has developed a focus on compassion, quality and innovation for the care we provide for our patients and families. ImproveCareNow helps us to deliver on these goals for our pediatric IBD patients. ICN provides us the framework to eventually develop an IBD home for children and families, a learning environment to improve our quality and outcomes, and opportunities to deliver next level care. We are excited to partner with ICN and look forward to what we can do together for our children and families with IBD - Golisano Children's Hospital of Southwest Florida
