Jeff Savarino and the team at MassGeneral Hospital for Children (MGHfC) are improving the clinical remission rate for kids with Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis (also known as Inflammatory Bowel Disease or IBD).

Jeff is first author on the BMJ Quality article Improving Clinical Remission Rates in Pediatric Inflammatory Bowel Disease with Previsit Planning, which describes the MGHfC IBD team's use of Previsit Planning (PVP) and Quality Improvement (QI) methods to review and make care recommendations for individual patients with a goal of achieving remission.

The team reports an increase in remission rate for patients cared for at their center from 77% in 2014 to 83% in 2015. And their PVP work continues!
