Hello! My name is Jennifer and I am a 16 year old high school student who also works part time at a pizza restaurant. I love meeting new people and enjoy engaging in activities outside of my comfort zone.

After three years of struggling with symptoms, I was finally diagnosed with Crohn’s disease last year. I am feeling much better now mentally and physically. One of my greatest struggles related to Crohn's is my mental health and finding ways to stay positive about my disease. This affects me and the people around me because I love making people happy, but I struggle to do so when I am not feeling well or happy myself.

Currently, I am working on shaping the way I view my disease! I am also on a diet that has decreased my symptoms and helped boost my mood. I have a strong support circle that includes my doctors, family and even friends! I have learned that I can do anything I put my mind to.

I first heard about the PAC through my mom and doctors. I was attracted to the PAC because I wanted to meet more people with IBD. I personally do not know any close family or friends who have it. I believe the PAC can help me on my journey toward accepting my disease and finding a balance between managing Crohn's and the other things going on in my life. I hope to be able to help others by making connections through the PAC and ImproveCareNow. I have goals to find friends, meet new people, help make resources for other members, and learn more about my disease and myself.
