The annual Family IBD Education Day is VIRTUAL this year! Join us on Saturday, August 22 for a session just for parents and interactive, educational sessions for the whole family. The program will include:
Parent Session - Managing Your Family's Health During A Pandemic (9:00 a.m. ET)
There are many factors to consider when managing the day to day aspects of your family's health. Throwing in a pandemic adds so many additional stressors! Join other parents for an education session and breakout discussion on:
- Managing stress and anxiety for parents
- Participating safely in physical activities and school
- Recognizing signs of anxiety in your child
- Updates on COVID-19 and pediatric IBD patients
Family Sessions (10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. ET)
- IBD 101 Trivia
- Nutrition for IBD scavenger hunt from home
- Ask the Doctor sessions for kids and teens
Breakout sessions will be separated for kids and teens, hosted by different doctors from Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, GI Care For Kids, and Atlanta Gastroenterology Associates.
