Clinical Director Shehzad Saeed to step down in Fall 2026

The ImproveCareNow Board of Directors has announced that Clinical Director Shehzad Saeed, MD, FAAP, AGAF, NASPGHAN-F has made the decision to transition from his current role as ICN Clinical Director this fall.

Shehzad Saeed has provided exemplary clinical leadership to the network. He has been a true bridge-builder, fostering the commitment to excellence and collaborative culture which underpin ICN’s success. We are grateful for his service and his legacy. All the best to Shehzad as he enters the next chapter of his career.

Shehzad accepted the role of Clinical Director of ImproveCareNow in 2020, during the crisis of a worldwide pandemic. Working alongside Scientific Director Peter Margolis and previous Executive Director Kristin Howe & current Executive Director Becky Johnson Rescola, Shehzad has provided strong and effective leadership for the network.

While serving in this role, he led the Physician Leadership Group and served as the executive champion of the Population Management /Pre-Visit Planning learning lab. At the conclusion of his tenure, ICN’s remission rates shifted to an all-time high of 83.27%.

The Board of Directors is assembling a multi-stakeholder Leadership Search Committee to find a new Clinical Director and implement a comprehensive succession plan. Until then, we will continue to leverage the considerable skill and leadership that have marked Shehzad’s tenure at ICN with such distinction.

We will continue to communicate with the community as we work together through this transition and shape the future of ImproveCareNow.
