On Thursday, March 25 and Friday, March 26, ImproveCareNow will host their third LIVE Online Community Conference (LOCC). Sessions begin on March 25 at 9:30 AM ET (8:30 AM CT, 7:30 AM MT, 6:30 AM PT) and continue through 5:00 PM ET when a causal Engagement and Social Hour begins. Sessions resume again on March 26 at 10:00 AM ET and continue through the first half of the day, with a wrap up scheduled at 1:20 PM ET.

All are welcome to join us for this interactive, online event where we plan to all teach and all learn about topics including advocacy for patients, families, and the community; managing mental health and IBD during the COVID-19 pandemic; recovering from flares; and food insecurity.

Live Online Community Conferences present a unique opportunity for anyone who may be interested - patients, parents, clinicians, researchers, improvers, friends - to join us online during the event. Leveraging the collaborative power of our Learning Health Community, we can explore important and timely topics, to raise awareness, share new information, ask questions and so that we can move forward together and continue transforming health, care and costs for all children and adolescents with Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis.

As usual, patients and parents are co-designers and active participants in the LOCC. Here are some sessions that patient and parent members of the ICN Community are involved in:

💙 Ignite Talks by Heidi Riechel & Fionna Kopp

💚 Mental Health Screening and Intervention: Reflection, Resilience and Recovery

Download the full agenda for a complete listing of sessions and make your plan to join us! You are welcome to join us for some or all, depending on your availability and interests.

As you consider what you're most excited to learn more about and think about the LOCC insights you want to discuss with and spread to others in the IBD community, we encourage you to connect with us on Twitter to join the conversation no matter where you are!

Our Spring 2021 LIVE Online Community Conference hashtag - #ICNCC21S - was created via Symplur and the Healthcare Hashtag Project, which is aimed at connecting the dots in healthcare social media. By including #ICNCC21S in posts and tweets from and about the LOCC we can generate and share learning and ideas, make connections with our colleagues and community, and spread awareness of ImproveCareNow and IBD.

About the ImproveCareNow Community Conference
ImproveCareNow Community Conferences happen twice a year. While our community works together across the miles throughout the year, to transform care, health and costs for young people with IBD, these (traditionally in-person) meetings provide an opportunity to get together and work on developing and spreading QI and research skills and approaches; fueling our Network's use of data to drive and evaluate QI efforts; and developing partnerships that will lead to improved care processes and outcomes in pediatric IBD. The Spring 2021 Live Online Community Conference represents the third time ImproveCareNow will offer this event fully online.
